I Wiped My Bedroom Windows Dry Every Morning for Two Weeks Before I Figured Out What Was Actually Wrong

I woke up every morning to windows that looked like they’d been hosed down from the inside.

Not a light mist. Not a little fog you could wipe with your sleeve. I’m talking about water streaming down the glass, pooling on the sill, and soaking into the drywall below until the paint started to feel soft.

Every single morning, I’d grab half a roll of paper towels and spend ten minutes mopping it up before I could even open the blinds. I told myself it was just winter condensation. Cold glass, warm room, whatever—it happens.

Except it kept happening. Two weeks straight.

The weird part? It was only the bedroom. The bathroom window stayed dry. The living room windows were fine. Just mine, just every night, just that same soaking mess.

Then one morning I noticed the paper towel in my hand wasn’t just damp—it was dripping. I could wring it out like a sponge.

That’s when I stopped blaming the windows and started wondering what was actually putting that much water into the air while I slept.
